THE amazing story of rogue brothers Ken and Keith Littlejohn is told in RTE One's Scannal!

The tale of the English tricksters' bizarre antics in Ireland in the 70s is brought to life in an episode called 'From Hot Pants To Hot Shots'.

Conman Ken came to Cahirciveen, South Kerry in 1970 to cash in on the craze for hot pants by building a factory there-but the business plan fell through.

Yet the handsome ladies man even won the heart of Isolde Liebherr, billionaire heiress of the Hans Liebherr Crane fortune.

But with a wife complaining back home and the 43,500 proceeds of an English bank-robbery running out, Ken dodged out of town in a hurry.

At the same time in Britain, Ken's younger brother Keith was befriended by Lady Pamela Onslow, a reforming do-gooder who helped him after a stint in prison.

Lady Pamela was well-connected and Ken seized his opportunity to earn immunity from prosecution for his criminal activities. Within weeks cunning Ken persuaded senior British political figures that he had access to Republican terrorists an bagged a job as a spy.
