AN INQUIRY has been set up into the resignation of Mr Colin Wallace, a former Army press officer involved in the controversy over allegations of homosexual abuse at the Kincora Boys Home in Belfast.  Mr David Calcutt QC, is to investigate an unsuccessful appeal in 1975 against the Ministry of Defence's decision to dismiss Mr Wallace on disciplinary grounds. Mr Wallace, who resigned as an alternative, faced dismissal after passing a restricted document to a journalist without authority.  The MoD said yesterday that information had come to light showing that when Mr Wallace had been appointed it was proposed he give 'unattributable covert briefings' to the press.  The inquiry will consider whether he suffered 'an injustice.'
