THE inquest into the death of Sinn Fein member Denis Donaldson could finally go ahead today -- four years after he was murdered.
The former Sinn Fein chief administrator (56), who admitted he was a paid British informer for 20 years, was shot dead at his cottage outside Glenties in Co Donegal in April 2006.
A preliminary inquest into his death opened in November 2007 but has been put off on four occasions as gardai said they were continuing their investigations.
Mr Donaldson's family have said they want the inquest to proceed as soon as possible.
