Brit Defense Min, amid mounting controversy over brothers Kenneth and Keith Littlejohn who were jailed after maintaining that they robbed Dublin bank in Oct '72 on orders of Brit intelligence, denies on Aug 6 that Brit authorities 'were in any way connected with the bank raid'; confirms that Keith made contact with Lady Pamela Onslow and she passed information on to Defense Min Lord Carrington, who then arranged for junior defense min Geoffrey J Smith to meet with Kenneth 'to ascertain what kind of information he could, in fact, pass on' about IRA; says Kenneth then made other contacts with 'appropriate authorities' who warned him not to expect help from London if he engaged in criminal acts; brothers, who were sentenced by Irish ct on Aug 3 to 20 yrs and 15 yrs, alleged that they were carrying out instructions of Brit agents who wanted robbery to be blamed on IRA, which is outlawed in both Irish Repub and N Ireland; said robbery was ordered to appear to be work of IRA so that Irish

Govt would be provoked into taking stronger action against it; brothers, now in Dublin prison, say they are living in fear because of IRA prisoners; pretrial attempt by prisoners to hang Keith was foiled by prison guards
